Be
a Peace Market Vendor! We are looking for diverse and varied artists and small business people who are interested in our vision of social justice, especially those who promote traditional cultural expression, artistic creativity, or community economic sustainability. At the end of each day we collect a fee of 20% of that days total gross sales from each vendor. There is no booth fee so if you sell nothing, you pay nothing / if you sell a lot, you give a lot back to the Esperanza. (We do this intentionally because we want to support new and small vendors who may not have the money to risk in case sales do not go well.) All profits from the Peace Market, including all vendor fees, go directly to supporting Esperanza programs. Set-up: Resources are limited and the Esperanza cannot provide tables and other accessories for each storefront. Vendors need to bring their own tables, tablecloths, shelving, extension cords and extra lights. Also, keep in mind that the market attracts many visitors and space somewhat limited. If you would like to simply place your works on a blanket, know that we welcome that open-market set-up as well. About 5,000 people come over the two days of the Peace Market. If you are interested in being a Peace Market Vendor, please call us at (210) 228-0201 and request to be added to the mailing list to receive a Vendor Packet and Information Form. The packets will be mailed out in October of each year. |
