Coalition for Justice in the Maquiladoras is an international coalition of religious, environmental, labor, Latino and women’s organizations with efforts grounded in supporting worker and community struggles for social, economic and environmental justice in the maquiladora industry. www.coalitionforjustice.net Esperanza Peace and Justice Center, a progressive grassroots cultural organization, advocating for and affirming the lives and struggles of people of color, women, lesbians and gay men, the working class and poor. www.esperanzacenter.org Food Not Bombs, San Antonio serves free vegan and vegetarian food to others. A large amount of the food served by the group is surplus food from grocery stores, bakeries and markets that would otherwise go to waste. www.foodnotbombs.net Fuerza Unida educates, empowers and organizes workers to become advocates for social change, organizers for economic justice and full participants in the democratic process to advance the rights of women, workers, and low-income communities by providing education, training, guidance and accessible information. www.lafuerzaunida.org International Women’s Day March and Rally Planning Committee is a coalition of organizations fighting for social, economic and environmental justice for women and girls. The first IWD March in San Antonio took place in 1985. Consistently from 1992 to present, the IWD March has been an annual event in San Antonio. Martinez Street Women’s Center is a resource center providing education, referrals, advocacy, and health outreach for women, their partners, and their families. www.mswomenscenter.org National Association of Public Employees in San Antonio is a local chapter working against workplace discrimination and for labor rights. Neighborhoods First Alliance, leading the fight to revitalize our neighborhoods, is an Eastside based San Antonio organization working for economic, environmental and social justice in our communities. Pax Christi is a national Catholic peace and justice organization.
